KITCHENER KRAFTS INFILL RETAIL

My main retail concept is to feature unique pieces made by people in the region, having a feature artist section is one way I plan to keep people coming back. There will always be something new to see when they come into the store. Based on this I designed my store shelving to be very moveable and modular, different styles of shelving can be swapped in and out as the wares being displayed change. I also included a long shallow staircase along one side of the store and a sloping ceiling installation to create movement up to a mezzanine that acts as the feature artist area. This gesture not only provides an interesting way to get to the featured artist section it also provides a nice place to line the walls with paintings and look out over the other store merchandise.
