The sightlines in Luis Barragan’s residence are very controlled. He included two main sightlines which are a big window in the living room that looks out to the garden and an open staircase in the library that gives you a nice view into the space as you come down. The rest of the residence in mainly composed of boxed in spaces that he has placed side by side, even the hallway is more like a room of its own. This means that the rest of the sightlines are well contained and directed within certain rooms. I chose to show all the sightlines by making these pyramid shaped objects out of cardstock, the point represents the viewer and the rectangles at the end represents the wider view. These rectangles are based off window sizes, doorway sizes or room sizes. These pyramids represent size, view and direction of the major sightlines.
